Abstract: This established company is a leader in rugged uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for military applications for various command and control platforms with computer and communications systems. The company modified its highly reliable rugged UPS technology with "hot swappable" sealed lead acid batteries to use "hot swappable" standard Li-Ion (BB2590) batteries. This unit allows individual batteries to be inserted for charging and removed with no disruption to power eliminating the need for a charger. The ability to insert batteries, which are readily available in field, provides extended run of the UPS in the event of a prolonged power failure. This product is available for use in mid to late 2010. The company seeks relationships with system integrators and primes involved with rugged communication or IT applications.
