The company modified its highly reliable rugged UPS technology with "hot swappable" sealed lead acid batteries to use "hot swappable" standard Li-Ion (BB2590) batteries. This unit allows individual batteries to be inserted for charging and removed with no disruption to power eliminating the need for a charger. The ability to insert batteries, which are readily available in field, provides extended run of the UPS in the event of a prolonged power failure.
