RF Guidance Sensor Windows for High-Speed and Hypersonic Air Vehicles Keywords: Ceramic radome, fiber composite, barium aluminosilicate, electromagnetic window, hypersonic missile Abstract: This 62-year old company, a commercial manufacturer of ceramics and fibrous ceramic composites, which can be used for energy harvesting, has developed an advanced ceramic composite radome material with improved thermal shock, high temperature dielectric and erosion properties for the next generation tactical missiles. The company has successfully produced 100% monoclinic thermal shock resistant fiber-reinforced barium aluminosilicate (BAS) radomes, with stable high frequency dielectric and high temperature mechanical properties that is a low-cost alternative to the baseline for high-speed radome application. Defense applications include low-cost electromagnetic window/radomes, capable of protecting guidance sensors at high speeds and altitudes for legacy and next generation air-to-air, surface-to-air and air-to-ground supersonic/hypersonic missile platforms. We seek partnerships with prime contractors for evaluation and transition to the fleet and exclusive supplier agreements. Presentation: Monday, 11:00am - 11:20am in Tidewater II Booth: P17 |
