Abstract: This human factors engineering firm conducts applied R&D related to military training. The Perceptually informed Virtual Environment (PerceiVE) Design Tool consists of a suite of physiological-monitoring sensors and an empirically-based process for assessing virtual training environment fidelity design requirements based on Psycho physiological Experiential Profiles (PEPs). The PerceiVE Design Tool allows simulation designers to rapidly determine the levels of fidelity necessary to optimally transfer training in real world, operational tasks to military personnel. Development resources can be judiciously utilized to provide the most effective training. Current efforts include a series of experiments to further develop and validate the system components. The company seeks relationships with DoD acquisition and transition customers, as well as strategic partners such as military simulation developers to transition this system to the military.
