Predicting Requirements for instructional Environment Design to Improve Critical Training (PREDICT) Keywords: Simulator fidelity requirements, cost-benefit analysis, training effectiveness, F/A-18, F-35, F-22 Abstract: A company combining social science principles with computational methods developed PREDICT (Predicting Requirements for instructional Environment Design to Improve Critical Training) to support informed decisions regarding the acquisition use of training simulators. PREDICT determines the appropriate level of simulator fidelity to achieve specified training objectives; while maintaining trainee buy-in and fitting within budgetary constraints. PREDICT will assist with: (1) conducting return on investment analyses to determine which simulator to develop or acquire; (2) prioritizing technology enhancements to improve the effectiveness of simulators; and (3) developing a strategy for employing both high- and low-fidelity simulators to meet the training objectives. We are seeking a relationship with a prime contractor to bring these capabilities to the fifth generation fighter jet communities.
