Shipboard Lighting System Quad Chart Narrative Briefing Capabilities BrochureKeywords: Deck lamp, flight deck, solid state lighting, LEDs, efficient, night vision compatible Abstract: This 30-year old optical engineering services company designs, develops, integrates and delivers high-end optical systems and subsystems for commercial and government customers. We have designed a form, fit and functional replacement for LHA/LHD helicopter landing-deck floodlights. Utilizing LEDs as an illumination source, this floodlight delivers more, even lighting providing a safe work environmental for deck crews. It is night vision device compatible without the use of filters and has a potential service life of 50,000+ hours. Currently, the lamp is being evaluated against Navy specifications. The next steps will be building prototypes for further testing and at sea demonstrations.
