3rd Harmonic W-Band Permanent Magnet Gyrotron Keywords: Active denial technology, pain ray, directed energy, non-lethal, crowd control Abstract: This fifteen-year old company develops high power RF sources and components for defense, industrial, and scientific applications. Their research covers frequencies from 200 MHz to 2 THz at power levels from milliwatts to hundreds of megawatts. They have developed a W-Band, 95 GHz, third harmonic gyrotron using a permanent magnet for the Active Denial System (ADS). The current ADS utilizes a superconducting magnet, requiring 12-14 hours to become operational. A permanent magnet allows for instantaneous operation of the ADS. This technology will benefit field deployed ADS, as well as systems protecting embassies, consulates, military installations, border protection, and harbors. The company seeks systems contractors to integrate the gyrotron and magnet with power supplies, cooling and transmission systems, and control electronics into a deployable package.
