Abstract: An industry leader in thermography for 17 years, this company has developed a modular Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) station for turbine hot section blades and vanes. Based on proprietary hardware and signal processing technology, the system modules provide detection of blockages, casting / coating anomalies and cracks, as well as measurement of wall or thermal barrier coating thickness. The various inspections are performed simultaneously in a single station, replacing the current approach, which requires several methods performed sequentially. Customers may purchase separate modules or an entire inspection station. To date, modules for automated blockage detection and wall / coating thickness measurement have been validated and purchased by major OEM's. Additional applications include commercial and land-based turbine components.
