Degradable Taggants Quad Chart Narrative Briefing Capabilities BrochureKeywords: Intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, tagging, tracking, roadside bomb, irregular warfare, sensor Abstract: Tagging, tracking, and locating (TTL) is used to monitor assets/activities of interest for numerous asymmetric and irregular warfare scenarios. To prevent tagged areas from becoming "polluted" with old signatures, enhance detectability, and provide a time identification component, degradable taggants are needed. This company is developing customizable degradable taggants (e.g., 50% signal loss in 2 weeks), automated multi-platform taggant sensor, and integrated system. This technology will provide a powerful tool for TTL of assets (e.g., people, vehicles), and near-real time detection of movement through sensitive areas (digging, foot traffic, vehicular tracks, and indications of IED threats). It will benefit several DoD groups, e.g., USSOCOM PEO-SRSE (Special Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Exploitation).
